AlienPlay's News

Posted by AlienPlay - January 28th, 2020

Hey everyone,

I'm currently finishing up Spin! sequel called Spin! Plus. It's going to have 50 more levels and 2 additional mini-games.

If you haven't played Spin!, it's basically a physics based platformer in which you control only the environment and the goal is to get the ball to the end flag.

The game is coming out in mid-February to Android, iOS and Web and if you want to get notified when it comes out Subscribe to my Newsletter here: http://alienplaygames.com

Here are a few GIFs of the game so you can more easily understand what it's all about:

Hey everyone!

I'd like to announce the release of my new game, Reap.

Reap is a 2D puzzle platformer in which you throw spells to slow things down. It will feature 24 levels that award thoughtful playing, skill and patience.

It is going to be available here on Newgrounds tomorrow (6/16/2019).

If you want to get notified when it comes out make sure to follow me. Thanks! :)

While playing Reap you will be able to win 5 medals in total (if you complete the whole game).

Btw, this game was originally created for Ludum Dare 44 and due to it getting a lot of positive feedback I decided to expand upon the idea.

I hope you'll enjoy it! :D

Hi everyone!

I'm close to completing Reap. So, to make sure that everything works fine, I'll do some closed testing for it.

If you're interested in participating just comment on this post or DM me.

I can add link to your profile in the game description when I publish it here on NG.

I'll leave you with a couple of GIFs from Reap:

Hey everyone!

Ripped The Life is my entry for Ludum Dare 44 game jam. It's a puzzle platforming game with an interesting mechanic.

You can throw spells to take life or give life to anything that moves. When something is 'out of life' it moves a lot slower and vice versa.

A lot of players thought that the idea behind Ripped the Life is cool so I decided to work on it throughout this month and make it into a full web game.

You can play the original LD game here: https://ldjam.com/events/ludum-dare/44/ripped-the-life

So, for the full version, I renamed the game to Reaping Pace. So far I've made around 20 levels and improved the graphics quite a bit.

I've had great experience releasing my games to Newgrounds, so I definitely plan on releasing this one here too. I hope you'll enjoy it when it comes out.

If you want to follow the development of this game you can do so on Twitter, Gamejolt, Itch and obviously if you follow my profile here on NG you'll be notified when it comes out as well.

And lastly, here are some GIFs to showcase the game:

Next one was recorded before I updated the graphics...

Hey everyone!

I released Fling a month ago so I decided to share my experience working on it in the format of a postmortem.

If you're interested you can check it out here: https://gamejolt.com/games/Fling/387953/devlog/fling-postmortem-with-stats-after-a-month-nntqkb3t

Hey everyone! I wanted to notify you that I made a little change to Fling's controls.

Now you can break the hook before it hits something by pressing RMB. Hopefully this will make Fling easier to control and less frustrating when you miss your target.

Hello everyone!

I'm developing a new game called Fling. It's a platforming game in which you can only move by using a grappling hook with minimal, pixelated art style.

6874661_154702540261_3CB1Ez.gif

The game is in development right now, and it will be eventually released on Newgrounds, so I thought I might as well notify you about it.

Here are some features I already have in game or plan on adding to the game:

  • 30 levels
  • Endless mode
  • Minimal art style
  • Simple gameplay (mouse-only, touch controls)

I have devlog pages on Gamejolt and Itchand I'm also active on Twitter and Instagram.

Any suggestions / feedback / comment is appreciated!

I updated this version of the game so now it has better looking UI.

I plan on adding skins for player in the future updates.

I hope that you're going to enjoy the game, and as always, feedback is welcome!
